Membership Application

(I) Ordinary Members

 

All full-time, regular service officers and civilian personnel serving the seven Government Disciplined Services Departments (including Correctional Services Department, Customs & Excise Department, Fire Services Department, Government Flying Service, Hong Kong Police Force, Immigration Department, Independent Commission Against Corruption), shall be eligible to be Ordinary member. Auxiliary officers or part-time civilian staffs, irrespective of ranks, are not eligible to be ordinary members.

 

(II) Family Members

 

Spouses and children of married Ordinary Members are eligible to be Family Members. Ordinary Members' children who are married or have reached the age of 21 shall cease to be members unless they have acquired membership in their own right. All Children Family members are required to renew their membership every five years.

 

(III) Retired Members

 

Regular service members of the disciplined services who have retired at the normal age of retirement on completion of their normal service under the Old Pension Scheme, the New Pension Scheme or the Civil Service Provident Fund (CSPF) Scheme and the spouse and children of married retired members are eligible to be Retired Members. Civilian personnel retired from the disciplined services are not eligible to be retired members.

Those regular service members of the disciplined services who have completed 18 years of service and have served on agreement terms and left the discipline services on satisfactory completion of agreement, and the spouse and children of married retired members, are eligible to be retired members.

Retired Members' children who are married or have reached the age of 21 shall cease to be members unless they have acquired membership in their own right. All children of retired members are required to renew their membership every five years.

Those regular service members of the disciplined services who have completed 18 years of service and have :

retired pre-maturely on the Old Pension Scheme or been invalidated out of the service;

retired pre-maturely on the New Pension Scheme or been   invalidated out of the service;

are also eligible to be retired members, provided that their applications are supported by the respective Disciplined Services Departments concerned and endorsed by the Executive Committee.

Those members of the disciplined services who are compulsorily retired are not eligible to be retired members unless their applications are supported by the respective Disciplined Services Departments concerned and endorsed by the Executive Committee.

Any other special case approved by the Executive Committee.

 

(IV) Associate Members -
